Only the British worship their sheep breeds so much to mix their fleeces to bring out their intrinsic qualities. Winterburn is a thick wool (aran) but very light (because of the curls of the Masham sheep) and slightly shiny.
It has a rustic appearance, remains soft and, as said, very light, which is a nice quality for such a thick wool. Use it to knit hats (one skein), jumpers or cardigans (6-8 skeins).
In Laine 11 you will find a cardigan in Winterburn Aran, Visiting Cardigan by Stella Ackroyd. And in Laine 7, a jumper to knit in Winterburn Aran, Nerea by Fiber Tales.
